Nun
Nun or Nu was the name that the Egyptians gave to the chaos which existed before form. This god was the personification of the primal waters, the dark liquid mass that contained the potential for all things.
The texts describe Nun as having no surface as he stretched into each direction further than the imagination could comprehend. From him a came Ra the creator.
Following the creation of the universe Nun continued to exist both beyond the boundaries of the universe, within the waters of the earth and in the sacred lakes and in the Nile.
In religious art he is seen as a bearded man waist-high in water, often supporting above him the sacred solar barque - Manjet.
